Will a TBI 454 intake manifold bolt directly to a previosuly carbed engine? I am going to build a 454 soon but its a mid 70's era engine and my burb is an 89, and I want fuel injection. I am going to begin buyin all the parts I need soon (all I have is a 2 bolt main short block kit) and wanted to know if I could do the TBI thing before buying the parts. I know the puter's are different between a TBI 350 and TBI 454 and plan on finding one somewhere along the line. If I cant do the TBI engine, can I still run a carbed engine in there or will the sensors go nuts? Anything else anyone can tell me that I will need to know about a swap like this? Thx

I know this is a very old thread but I need to know this information.

Will a TBI intake from a '90 454 bolt to a carbed '85 454 block and heads? If not what is needed?
