carpet removeal

    Is it hard to remove carpet form a blazer. Is there eneything special I need to do to get it out.

    I am preparing it to be line-xed

    The hardest part is getting the seats out if the bolts are rusted into the floor. Also, the carpet on the wheel wells is glued on so it tears apart when you pull it off. Other than that it comes out pretty easily.

    It's pretty easy to do. You have to pull all of the seats and seat belts out and them reinstall them. The counsel has to come out and also the door sill plates (aluminum things holding the weather strip down. You may also have to pull some panels (one right below rear seat) and that's about it... don't be too suprised to see the ground through the rust holes!

    NEVER been stuck... *yet* (4wheeling)

    My k5 is a 90 and the under side looks good so I hope there is no rust but that is why I am going to go thru all this work and money to line-x it to stop rust I hope and I thank it will look cool and clean up easy

    I have an '89 that's rusted to s&*t and I thought that it wasn't that bad when I bought it... boy was I wrong!!

    That's what happened to me too. I'm in the process of fixing it now. The entire floor, front to back, has to come out. The lower side panels where the seat belts mount fell apart when I took the carpet off. I'm tempted to take the truck back to the dealership I got it from 8 months ago and ask them how it passed their inspection. If I had ever gotten into an accident I would have been in serious trouble. I hope yours is in better shape than mine. Good luck.
