Cat. converter heat shield removal

    Are those regular bolts that hold the shield to the frame, or something special that will be a huge PIA to remove?

    I don't really know what you mean by "regular" bolts but it is fairly easy to remove the shield. The only problems you might run in to is accessability. It's a tight fit.

    Don't remove it if you still have your cat on though. It's there for a reason.

    did this last week when replacing my gas tank. They are just regular bolts, no big deal.

    I'm just gonna remove for cleaning purposes, it'll go back on. Things are a lot more accessible now that my new cat is about 1/3 the size of the old one.
