Went down to a local creek that me and my buddy found yesterday. Had a great time! In all, I caught about 8 largemouth in a 2hr span. Most between 1-3 pounds, the biggest was almost five! Got a couple of pics of him... I'm gonna go back until I catch the big boy that I saw in there yesterday. He was AT LEAST 10lbs! Honestly, I would guess he's closer to 12. All of this in a creek that looks like it may have a few bluegill. Gotta go back to work soon so i'm getting all the fishin' done that I can.

Thanks guys. It's so fun catching largemouth with a topwater popper. They were just devouring it the last couple days.

One of you supercool guys needs to take me fishing. I've only gone twice. The first time I only caught hell from my dad, the second time I caught a fish and set it to hard I flung it across the road behind the lake.

I'll take you out anytime RJ, head down to Colorado and we'll catch some fish and hopefully put a dent in a vodka bottle.

Hell yeah RJ.- ever in DFW lemme know. Wheeling, fishing and debauchery (with hot chicks) shall undoubtedly ensue. This is the only other pic I got today. Suprisingly, no cottonmouths were seen!

Nothing like creek fishing! So many variables with such a reward! This creek is extremely shallow through 99% of it but there is about a 1/4 mile section that has spots as deep as eight feet for extended lengths. Logs of good hiding spots for big lunkers. I'm gonna go out there with a couple of rooster tails and see how many bluegill I can catch in one day. I'm guessing 100+. Hell, the fish are so aggressive right now, i've caught several bluegill that were barely bigger than the popper I was throwing. What fun.

Especially when your using an ultralite. Pound for pound, those little bluegill can give you a serious tug. I can't count how many times i've hooked something and thought, "nice lil bass" and it turns out to be a half pound bluegill.

If you ever get the chance to come down here, one day of redfishing and you will be hooked, so to speak. Bass are fun, bluegill on light tackle are fun, but to me nothing beats bull reds on topwater.

Inshore salt. You pole the boat it while it's calm. You can see them "finning" Cast in front and past, bring it back by and BAM. It is awesome. Much like Bass on topwater, just you can see them coming in so the anticipation is awesome.

I just loaded the boat back up on the trailer last night. She is looking damn good and ready for some fishing. Right now the season is closed so I have to wait another month.

I miss large mouth. They have been fished out up here. We get a ton of smallies, but hardly ever a large mouth.

    mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm fishing...........................

    bastard...
