    Let's see...

    If it rains you're ****ed.
If the cave collapses you're ****ed.
If the anchor pulls out you're ****ed.
If they don't rig you properly you're ****ed.

    Have a good time.:p:

It's really cool, but you will, at some point, feel the need to leave quickly. Take a deep braeth and relax and it will pass.

Ive gone spelunking in the Crystal caverns here in SDakota several times. Its a blast and even a little scary at times. First time I went I got to go down a really narrow branch cause i was the only one that would fit. And what did i discover? A dead end about 2 foot around the corner. Have fun!

I am so jealous of you!!! The only thing I want to do more than spelunking is cave diving in the Yucatan. But I am not really qualified for either, so it remains a pipe dream...

I have been there, I walked in with my wife and kids then watched the dudes come down on a rope. Funny thing is to walk in when you get to the main cave there is a HUGE spirel staircase inclosed in rebar and wire so you can 'see thru' the stair case...anyway my son 8 at the time and my daughter 5 started down and my son FREAKED cuz he felt like he was falling. My daughter was like na na na scardy cat hahahahaha. Perrty neat, just one big area then small path going in and out.

    Have fun
    Burt

You dont need to be qualified, its a tour you just pay the money and they give you all the stuff you need

This is true. I just don't like having to pay someone to watch over me. I have been mountaineering and rock climbing for a while on my own and just like to be self reliant. What i am saying is I would like to make it more of a hobby than a one or two time encounter. Kind like a guided wheeling trip with paid guides and spotters vs what we do. Still going to do it if I get the chance though!

I know the quality isent that great, but the first one is me coming through this hole in the cave, at about 250 feet under ground, and the second one is from left to right, me,my girl friend and 2 other people who's name i dont rember :D , all in all it was a fun trip, but i like the cave in Aus. alot better, and the GF vows to never go again(she diddent like it to much) we were soaked from head to toe when we finally climbed the 264 steps :yikes: back to the top of the main cavern, the cool thing about that is the sprial stair case in the man cavern was the first time ARC welding was ever used on the west coast, the welds at thte bottom look waaay skecthy, but they6 get alot better towards the top. Pretty cool, it was the largest free standing steel structure at the time 1929 or so i think?? I cant rember, but its way cool :D
