Noticed my windshield is starting to crack and I'm thinking of replacing it with one that has the AM/FM antenna built in to it (reception isn't a major concern since I plan on installing a SIRIUS unit). I'm also trying to figure out a good place to mount an antenna for trail use. My idea was to somehow mount a 3 or 4 foot CB antenna where my current AM/FM antenna is mounted in the driver's side fender. Has anyone done (or attempted) this? I've seen the aftermarket mount brackets that come out from between the hood and the fender, so this should work just about the same only the coax will not be exposed and it will look much more sanitary. Anybody have an extra fender laying around with the antenna hole they could post a pic of? I'd like to have an idea of what I'd be working with before I tear mine apart.
