    CD player \'playability\'

    I've got a pioneer cd player. It's about a year old...maybe a little less.
Anyway, I just got a tuffy console. I would like to put the cd player in there so it's protected from the weather (full convertable) and it's locked up. But, the cd player would have to play at this angle
    ex:

(the slash is about the angle)

    Will it be okay?

I would think that it would be ok, but if you still have the booklet that came with it then there might be something in there about proper opperation angles.

Depends... yes and no... sometimes they will, sometimes they won't. Try and see. Sometimes they decide nope not gonna do it. Other times they work. I had one that wouldn't play flat like this --- but when I put it and a 45 degree angle it worked... /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

I highly doubt it will play. I just did this in my friends Blazer and it "plays" but skips really bad on ANY bump in the road. Good Luck Though

yes the older ones do skip easily and need to be mounted corectly but the newer ones have more memory and antiskip tecnoligy(sp?) so i think you will be ok putting it in how you are talking about but the best way to find out is to just do it /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
