cell phone reception?

    yes, i know im going on VACATION. and thats why i need a cell phone. a bunch f kids will be watching my house dog and cat and fish. so if anything happens they need to get ahold of me.

    so does Sprint PCS reach up there?

    Mine worked in town last year. But was spotty out on the trails...

    I have Verizon and was able to dial out from camp.... incoming calls might be somewhat unreliable. Plus, you could end up in an "analog" mode, which in case you've never experienced it, will drink your battery power in about an hour (even just in standby mode)

    Odds are you'll be able to retrieve voicemails, and dial out....if you keep it plugged into a cigarette adapter you might even be able to receive incoming calls at camp.

    Oh, forgot to mention, mine is Verizon and it was analog. At least I don't remember ever getting digital...

    Verizon here too, I had the phone off and checked messages once ecery evening (big mistake!! Story behind that /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif, I hope this year dosen't follow suite) Anyhow I had service at the slick rock camp ground and around town was OK. Never took it on the trails. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
