changing gear ratio???????

    What parts do I need to change in order to change my gear ratio? How much shoud I expect to pay to do this?

    I'm guessing but haven't actually done it yet...if 4wd you need to change front and rear gears...with parts at say $150 a set = $300 and labor lets say a conservative $250 for both axles you are looking at around $550....I was thinking about getting my 2.76s swapped out but it will be the same cost or cheaper to go to 4.10 3/4 ton axles.

    edit- the below is per axle -end edit

    a little low there. mine cost $160 for gears, $100 for install kits and normally labor goes for around $200-400 per axle.

    i think txbluethunder is closer. mine were $200 & $250 for gears $150 ea for installs & 325 & 500 for lockers. i did the laber but average cost around here is $300 an axle.
