The deposit has been sent in to reserve the weekend of August 10th and 11th. At this present time though I am at a stand still with UCP. Everything looks good as far as it becomming a charity run but I have to meet with their board of directors and get everything approved and legalized with them. The meeting should take place next week and then they will make a final decision on Feb. 26th at their monthly meeting and then they will notify me on the 27th. The meeting Donna and I have with them is to present everything to them and give them as much info as I can on what we plan to do. UCP told me once they are involved they will help in any way they can as far as advertizing, mailings, contacting potential sponcers, etc. I have spoke to Kyle at Paragon and he is also willing to help any way he can and I will also have a meeting with him as soon as everything with UCP is taking care of. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that this goes over well and can become an annual event.

Thanks. If I get lucky you just might see my mug in FourWheeler or something.[IMG] My 15 minutes of fame.[IMG] Actually getting through this years event is the hard part since I have never done anything like this before. I have alot of support from people here and other places so it makes it easier to handle. My supervisor at work thinks this is a neat idea too and was not upset when I told him I will be taking a night off when I attend the meeting.[IMG]

Thanks again guys. I feel the meeting will go well. It seems like just a formality from what I understand about it.

BTW Boss I hear you have your new bumper on the front. Lets see some pics.[IMG]

I think I figured out what I will do for my rear springs too. I am going to ditch the Ford spring idea for now since it won't allow me to move the axle back much. I can get 56" springs and will probably just use the main leaf from them and the rest will be from my 52" so it should be soft enough to flex well plus I can move the axle back an 1" or so. I would like to go with custom rear springs but for now I want to put that money into other mods.

Here go some pics. It's kinda finished. I may add a hoop and brace for the "pre-runner" look. Also waiting on some diamond plate from Fr8, to bolt onto the front of it.

Hey, remember that hunk of metal I showed yall (you and Fr8), when yall was in my garage and I said, here is my winch mount, and yall just kinda was like "uhhhh...yeah(sarcastically)" [IMG]
Well, here it is for a memory refreshener:

I'm working on the rear one right now with a tire carrier. Almost finished. should be done hopefully by this weekend.
I hear yah on the rear springs. I think what you're trying to do will work out for yah. I "heard" some people doing that. Shoulud be cool. New custom springs are definately pricey. I've been working with Stephen this past week on building me some. I think I may get one of his first built ones...[IMG]
It's definately pricey...more than Alcan! [IMG] But he tells me they're much better. We'll see I guess

oh sweet! When you making mine?

Is there gonna be a skid of sorts between the famerail/mounting area? That would look seriously sweet, especially if you add a hoop over the top. Nice work.

I was not laughing at that hunk of metal, I was a little confused.[IMG] I would add something over the top to help keep the winch safe but it does look [IMG].

    Shags,
Yeah, putting Aluminum Diamond plate piece (about 10.75"x28.5" size) down below as a skid plate. Definately welding hoops on to get the "pre-runner" look. Thanks for the props.
Wayne, I know, I was just teasing yah :) I just remember the look on yalls face after I said, "this is my new winch mount"...yall was like...."uhhhh" (confused look)...LOL!!
