who has blazers that have less 3000 dollars in them? I'm jsut wondering. I think a cheap but good blazer can be built. I just saw this add.[IMG]
I think it looks pretty damn good for an 1850$cnd (bout 1200 U.S.) blazer.
Blazer K5, 350 4V, TH350 auto, NP205, 12 bolt posi rear, Dana 44 front, 3.73 gears, 35" tires on mags, 4" lift, recent brakes, rusty but runs good, AirCared $1850.
To bad it sold before I saw it.

    Sure you can find them

I bought mine for $1500 ($800 in Trade,$700 cash) Fairly straight body (small dent driver side rear below the cheyenne emblem and front pass side is little out of alignment, looks like from hitting something (deer tree who knows) But alas Runs good (needs carb rebuilt) 350/TH400/NP205 D44/GM12 bolt AC(don't work but all there)/All Power/Cruise(Don't work cause the blinker arm is broken off but is all there) No major rust (little it holes where back seat mounts) Seems it is all stock (original engine). So I hope to not have to spend outregous amounts of money on it to get some good wheeling out of it (Sure is fun in the snow) Moved to Idaho so my webserver isn't up anymore or would link some pictures. Have to quit being lazy and put up some info on here :P

I bought mine for $431 stock and since have dumped around $2500 into it. It's still not running but in about $500 more it will be and it'll be MEAN. A lot of it is shopping around for good used parts, being in the right place at the right time, and knowing folks that will help ya out.

Absolutely.......Grim Reaper got his truck for $1. Good deals are out there, just have to keep looking. One here in the Oregonian for $2200......a '74 with 7" lift and 35 inch tires. Sometimes people just need $$ and/or don't know what they have.

Not only did I get it for $1 I found $7 in change in it when I got it home! I was able to drive it home. Wish I hadn't when I got looking at it. Front seat was about to fall through the floor and had a busted main leaf in a front spring.
I replaced the floors, Rebuilt axles (seals tie rods ect), Rebuilt the tranny myself, Rebuilt the carb, tons of little work. Including the tires that are on it I have $2800 in it. Right now I'm at the gears locker and winch stage so I'll eat up a couple $K when that gets done.

I got my '80 K5 for $1500 not running. Took a $100 part and it is up and cruising. 2 1/2" lift and 33's. 50k on the crate motor. I got plans for a lot more in it, but it could be a cheap build if I went modest.

I got mine for $600 with a cracked block, the wrecking yard was offering the guy $500.I have close to 2800 into it including tires. I need money right now and if someone offered me $1500 it'd be gone but I am not actively marketing it.

$ 1100 initial puchase, $200 dollars = used 4 31" tires with rims, $ 45 in fluid and filter changes, $89 in new shocks, that totals $1434.00 for a running stock blazer. Still fixing the rusty floor though.

3K for an '87, 350 auto, straight body, no rust, 185,000 mi but the eng checked out perfect, good 32 X 11.5 shoes, one owner that keep up with maintenance. Will need a tranny in the next 10-20K but so far so good. It took a lota lookin' to find it.

Baught mine 7 years ago for $1000. Drove it around for 3 years before I started fixing it up. In the past 4 year everything has been rebuilt or replaced, now have over $10k in it. I'm alittle scared to add it all up and find out just how much is in it....

Bought my '75 in 1987 for $800 complete with a Turbo 350 that had no reverse and a power steering pump that emptied itself in hours, even with the engine not running. [IMG] But it doesn't qualify for the "under 3 grand" limit any more since I've got more than that in the engine alone. [IMG]

i have two, one, a 1978 blazer, has cost me so far about $6659.56 (includes the truck, 4" superlift all springs, salesco seats, dash cover, door panels, 5 rims with 33X12.5X15 BFG/ATs, paint job, carpet and cheap radio).
the other one, a 1980 jimmy (i think...never checked), cost me $532.77, havent done a thing to it except try to break it on dunes (it is the 78s parts turck).

Knife, I guess you have plenty of sand dunes to run on over there in Saudi Arabia! [IMG] Can you just head in any direction you want to once you're out of the city?
