Can anyone recomend a cheap electric guitar and amp package? My son will be 14 soon and want to learn to play. I don't want to buy the cheapest one but then again I don't want to spend a ton either

    Thanks

I was just talking to your kid, did he tell you I said you were a sissy ?

I had a cheaper combo and both the guitar and amp got all wanked after too many rounds of ENTER SANDMAN

I'd look into one of the entry level guitars of the good name brands like Squire or Epiphone.

Grab a smaller amp that has good reviews.

You can get fairly economical packages

I got a pretty good newbie setup that i might be able to sell to you. It just depends on how much ur willing to spend. I spent about $350 on everything i have (30watt behringer amp, squire telecaster, leather strap, stand, and case. Make me an offer if you are interested.

I got an acoustic electric guitar on ebay with gig bag and tuner for $100. I'd say checkout pawn shops, esp around a college area. Usually pretty decent stuff thats kids pawn off for drinking money or to pay off CC /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Check out these sites. They have some pretty good deals.

    Musician's Friend

    American Musical

I like American Musical becuase you can do a payment plan using your debit or credit card. Good deals too.
