Cheap rear brake line 4\" lift

OK, I haven't done this yet. I figure, I better before the 'Con trip. I am not even sure if I can go yet...

I need the rear 4" brake line extension. I have the factory one now with a 2" lifted bracket.

But, it gets stretched when I droop the rear to the point where the brake line looks like it is holding up the axle. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

Is there a cheap Napa p/n like there is for the fronts?

I don't think I am going to cruise down there. I am closer to the 'Con than you are to me!

Maybe I can do it during the week, if work, school, and the Sun (need daylight) can cooperate next week.

    I can give you a Fed-Ex account number.... /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

What do you mean "allthread to put it up"?

For some reason I thought you were in San Jose.. But now I see.. All thread you can buy it at any hardware store.. If I rememeber right. you use 1/4. It is just a long threaded rod.. You can buy it up to 10 feet long.. Bolt it to the clamp on the diff and push up the brake line there and use nuts on both side of the brake line to hold it up.. I think I used about 4inchs on it..

So this was a brake line extension for the fluid itself?

Or did it move the mount up 4"?

I moved my mount up 2" so far. But it is DEFINATELY not enough.

Yeah, I don't like the way it looks now.

I don't think my mount will go much higher, as the hard lines are kinda' stickin' out above tubes now.

My mount is just using an extended tab on the diff housing cover. This lifted the T about 2". It's fine for mild wheeling, but when I start getting into severe crossed up stuff, I see it stretched when the passenger rear droops.
