i am 16 , and i have an 88 jimmy that is mostly stock. I want to get it lifted to fit some bigger tires under the rig, but i dont think that i can afford a $2000 lift. should i go all body lift, or should i get a combonation body lift and suspensio lift, and what kinds of lift should i get? I wish to get 33x12.50 tires on it.

only cost like 800 for a 4 inch bds with all you need including new front and rear spring, shocks, and steering arm, or you can get a 4 inch from rough coutry for like 259

you hit the fenders with 31" tires? [IMG]
my 85 with saggy springs never rubbed my 32's with max flex and i had running boards too.

anyway it don't cost that much to lift these k5 trucks. most 2-4" systems are in the $400-$600 range. if your springs are sagging as bad as it sounds then i would go for the systems that get new springs all around.
the cost is the labor to install, if you can't do it yourself. new springs are not hard to install, just a pia due to bolts that have been on for years.

BDS stands for "Big Dicks Suspension". No, seriously, it does! [IMG]

From what others have experienced and I have read, they are possibly the best lift springs on the market today due to the best ride characteristics and the best warranty, which cannot be beat by anybody else.

Go with a 4" lift and get some 35's. Cheap and easy to do.

I'm 17 and I bought a 1990 GMC 1/2 ton pickup, and I lifted it 3" with spring blocks and 3" with body (and an icky 3" torsion bar crank that sucks balls) and I've gotta put in my $.02. DON'T body lift. It rattles, eats up cab mounts and is an overall pain. For the 90 bucks your gonna spend for a body lift that has everything you need, you might as well save up another couple hundred bucks and get full springs all arround, you'll be more satisfied with it and it'll last longer. If you wanna cut some cash you could put in a 1" add-a-leaf in the back with 3" blocks and 4" lift front springs. That may be more economical and take the sag out of the blazer's rear-end.

Find yourself an inexpensive 4" front spring lift (new or used) from someone like Rancho which has 4" lift blocks. Throw out the lift blocks and cut your rear shackle hangers out from the bottom for a homemade 4" lift shackle flip. The compression style ride is great and the price is about as cheap as you'll get for a 4" lift. I bought a set of 2" blocks which I'm gradually tapering to get the right pinion angle and combat a set of stock saggy rear springs. It sits about 1" higher in the back now but looks level and rides very good. I hammered on those shackles pretty hard in the desert on Thanksgiving and they did better than expected, a good compromise untill the rest of the truck comes together.

I started with nothing and I still have most of that left! - Pictures

Try removing the sway bar. You'll flex much better, and prolly rub like hell with 33's.
