I need to ship a 14 bolt from Nebraska to Illinois. Who has shipped one? What kind of cost is it?
BTW, forward air isnt an option.
Talk to local trucking companys to see if one of the drivers can pick it up for you on a back load. I've got a couple of friends who drive big truck for a living and they say it's not uncomman for them to transport heavy items like a rear axle every now and then along with the load. Might also wanta check with the railroad.
I had a dana 60 front shipped from new york to me in so cal for 180 through Central Freight. They were one of the cheapest places I found. Another company is Old Dominion, but they are alot more money, around 350 to ship a th350 from here to georgia.

Any luck yet?
Try this place
I used them to ship a tranny and had zero problems and a good price. Business to Business is cheaper though. I just picked it up at the closest dock and they called it a business delivery.
R & L Carriers
I could have picked it up on my way thru if I hadnt cancelled that part of my trip in October... Are you in a hurry? I will probably try to make it home for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas (home once was Galva,IL for me)
