ive mentioned r/c rock crawling before in here... well i just got into a new class of competition. scale class, its all about looking and performing realisticly. the full competition trucks ive posted before will climb things on a scale level that no real life truck would do. but these things are all about copying the real thing. im not done with the body yet, but its coming along.

I think scale crawlers are way cooler than super modified crawlers that'll turn an axle vertical.

    Nice.

    Are those TLT axles?

I've been thinking about doing one of those with my original Clod body. Of course, I should finish my 1:1 first... then my Clod tuber too...

doesnt look stock... probably scratch built, as most scale cralwers i've seen are.

    definitely a sick ride.

has anybody done one based on the new Tamiya F350 yet?

EVERYONE - its not a kit, you cant just buy one. i built it, ive got close to $700 into it now.

JARHEAD - yes they're TLT axles, i dont mess with clods and super class trucks.

    HEAVY METAL, 79K20350 - www.rccrawler.com, www.scale4x4rc.org

BEATER - tons of people are building the new tmiya F350

DREY, DARKSHADOW - no one makes a suburban or K5 body. tamiya used to make a topless 79 k5 but they discontinued it years ago.

CORNFED - nylints are a gateway crawler. kinda like weed is a gateway drug. they just open the door for bigger more expensive crawlers.

nice job bud...you almost make me miss working those stupid long hours at the hobby shop...almost ;)

Nice choice of going w/ a newer rustler/stampede tranny...I haven't seen too many guys do that yet, or you just yanked the case out of it.
What does your local class limit you to motor and gearing wise? GD600's legal? 55/65+ lathe motors? Or does it all have to be sub 27t?
What about LiPo's? Or do you have to stick w/ Sub-C's?
