Click here if you are seated.
Click on the 1-1/4 Ton Pickup link with the picture. HOLY MARKUP! 4 Grand for a 1 ton MINUS engine, trans, and tcase? WTF? I would venture to guess those clowns forked over between 750 and 1500 apiece for those rigs...then mark them up 400%. Fawking rediculous.

i work with trucks like those a lot, and ill tell you what. they are tough but sure do get the crap beaten out of them on a daily basis. no way i would pay 4 grand for a truck like that. especially with no engine/tranny.

I wouldn't pay 4 grand WITH the engine/trans/tcase!

Maybe if the "missing" pieces were still there and totally rebuilt it would be worth 4 grand.

I agree with nevercomplete.... I've seen how military trucks get abused. Boyce and/or anyone who pays that much might be interested in this bridge I have for sale.... /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

They are buying them from the auctions for as cheap as $300. The most I have ever seen a M1008 go for is $2000. Granted when they buy them they might be missing the motor/tranny/transfer case, but most of the time its in the bed of the truck. I guess they are the true pirates of the rubicon.

Sheesh, can't they keep to rebuilding and selling their highly marked up merchandise and let the poor man try to get these on a reasonable budget?? Maybe it's just me.

that is a very high price but for someone who has been wanting one would pay that price just to have it sure you could buy one cheaper at an auction but you have to find it first and bid on it and hope to win it most of the time it will be hundreds of miles away and would cost a bunch to go get it or have it towed you could save a few hundred dollars but i wouldnt knock them <boyce> because they are atleast a business and need to make a profit they do have employees to pay just like the business that we work for

You're a little off on that $1100 for a rebuilt 10B rear. You forgot to add some stuff: #1 a R&P @ $225-239 and #2 if you want a locker or L/S $300 (Lock-Rite) - $600 (Detroit). So figgure more like $1900 + shipping! But they are still cheaper than Dynatrac.

Dynatrac quoted me 4450 for a D60 with open carrier, gears, and Warn hubs. Yikes.
