Check out this vid I stumbled onto on a Camaro site. http://members.aol.com/shaggyikes/topend_wee.wmv Watch the speedo when he lifts, till he comes down, then watch the tach when the speedo is nailed, the speedo isnt climbing anymore (cuz its pegged) but the tach still is! A guy I work w/ was telling me about the kind of bike hes on, he has ridden one before. He ran out of intestinal fortitude at 190 and said it was still pulling! I dont remember what type of bike it is but it is said to be capable of 220 out of the box! 230 plus w/ simple boltons! Its got a kinda strange name....Id remember if someone says it.

OH yeah! Look at the clock between the tach and speedo, the whole thing takes like a minute!

Good Lord, that's fast, back in sherman / denison the cities passed a law that the local police can't chase bikes anymore. Too dangerous and no way in hell they can catch them other than radioes. I've heard of the bike your talking about but I can't remember the name either..

Hayabusa!! Thats it!!! On the Camaro site I found it on thats what they said it was. I just couldnt remember what it was by the time I posted it. Damn short term memory loss.

Actually Jeff he is standing it up from about 55 to 140 (where it looks like he actually hit the road) AND was shifting!! NUTZ!!!!

I would like to know how fast he was going when he topped out. The speedo is nailed at 220 but the tach kept climbing. WAY WAY too fast for this guy!

Looks killer but at that incredible speed I would think
that the white lines & the car in the other lane would
come up WAY faster.

I was thinking the same thing....
When he was at 125 the white lines looked like he was doing maybe 60. Could just be the way it looks I spose.

If thats real, that guy needs to have his head examined. If he still has one.

If you didnt build it, it isnt really yours.........

ummmm, thats speedometer is in KM/H not MPH. His speedo stopped at 220 km/h which is 136 mph. I give hime the benefit of the doubt and say he got up to 240 km/h which is 149 mph.
Fast yes, But my ZX7 would have ate him alive[IMG]

I think he did something to the speedometer. Recalibrated it so it would read faster, things aren't moving fast enough. Nice wheelie though.

Nascars go 200mph and things move by faster than that. I'm skeptical, but it could be the video I guess.
I don't know what this guy was riding, but Nick told me one day about a guy who did close to 200 on a freeway and the back started jumping around a lot. *shrug*

I had my ZX7 up to 164 on I-15 just outside of Barstow Ca going to Vegas. It was still accelerating pretty hard and I got scared and backed off. It was stable, the fairings are good about keeping the bikes planted to the ground.

no its not. look at the inner scale on the speedo, THAT is kph, it reads up to 330 or something, but the outer scale is mph.

It probably looks slow because of the fact that the camera is only looking directly foward, in the limited field of vision, you can barely look to the sides. i bet if the camera could see more to the sides it would seem much faster.

I had a 92 ZX7 and I did 160 plus on I15 in San Bernardino at about 3 in the morning. I changed lanes, hit a relector and got 160mph+ frame slappin', speed wables. Scared me more that anything else ever has. I slowed down and rode about 50-55 the rest of the way home.

well, since everyone else is adding thier speeding down I15 storeis, I'll throw mine in... I did most that road at 95 in my ol' 77 pickup truck, including Virgin River gorge... I have no idea what the hell I was thinking, but it was hella cool... even when the cop appeared in my rear view... I just hammered down, and dove off the exit in Arizona, plowed down the dirt road for a few yards, killed the lights, and engine, and sat there, waiting for Senior gumballs to cruise by on the freeway...

when I went through it again earlier this year, I kicked myself in the head, wondering what the hell I was thinking... in my suburban, a vehicle thats heavy enough to keep it pinned in tighter corners then the pickup ever was, I couldn't break 70, without the tires complaining... glad I didn't die 3 years ago when I flew through there...

down on I-8, I ran at 85 for most of that, especialy on the uphills in the mountains ( I'd avoid downhill speeding, cause braking from 90 to 0 on a down hill, while turning is impossible ) and managed to catch a highway patrolman. I was in the left lane, and went ahead and signaled right, and he followed in front of me... I figgured my ass was grass, until I saw my own personal jesus christ appear in my rear view mirror... a brand new shiney red car. no idea what make model, brand anything, but it flew right past me, up next to the officer, where he pegged his brakes, and tried to drop behind me... the officer's response was instant: gumballs came on, and he shifted around me in the left lane, and pulled the red dude over. I gave a massive sigh of relief, and headed to the rest area for a little bit.
