    Not factory. As clean of a job as that is my guess is it was a company like ChooChoo customs or somebody did the conversion but I can assure you it did not roll off the GM lines like that.

    First factory ext cab was in '88. I concur, that is a custom. I've seen quite a few of them though.

    Grim gets a cookie, or a virgin doughnut however you want to view it. That is correct extended cab trucks did not roll of the assembly line till 88 I believe, club cabs yes but not extended cabs. There have been aftermarket companies doing this for many years. I"ve seen extended cab trucks all the way back to 59 I believe, how many were in that era I don't know. But there's your answer, I know that the converstion was almost common during the 80's
