Why is it a trailer queen?? cuz it looks good and has a shiney paint job?? I suppose I wont bother posting pics of mine w/ everything clean and painted up, in 3 feet of mud, for fear of it being considered a trailer queen!

Wow! You could eat off that motor!
The ultimate truck to me is one that is awsome offroad (street legal) and cleans up to be a fairly nice looking truck. I'm gonna paint mine eventually so it'll look nice, but protect it and keep the paint simple so if I do dent it, rip it, etc it's an easy fix and not a big deal. Simple and clean!

I've got a mind like a . . . a . . . what's that thing called?

I just dont get it, If you have a nice clean rig people call it a trailer queen. So what, if its not rolled over beat up and bashed in its a trailer queen???

Im really not trying to start an argument......just a discussion.

What makes a trailer queen and what makes a "real rig"???

I think it comes from the stereo typical pretty truck that doesn't see dirt. Just like when you see a pretty new Yukon and are surprised to hear that it has infact seen dirt.

I love the UAV cause it's an awsome looking truck that can do the toughest trails. That is just awsome!
I like a truck that cleans up real nice. Unless you have it to only go offroad, chances are it will spend more time on the street than offroad, so why not have it nice looking in my opinion.
I like to go out and wash it and polish it up. It's therapy for me. The paint is bad on mine so I just wash it, polish up the wheels, and work on the inside.

Nah Drew its kool! Just couldnt think of anything else kwik! [IMG]

Well the way I see it is.... I am a body man,(well not anymore I am out of the biz as of yesterday) And it dont cost me jack to make something look how I want. Mine will have shaved marker lites, late model S10 flush mount door handles down low in the door, shaved drip rails, cowl hood, and a smooth top. As well as being slick as glass and having stripes graphics or something. For someone to pay to do what Im gonna do to mine will be around 4 grand. Just in P&B.

If I scratch or dent it ya know what........ WHOOOPS! I reckon Ill have to fix it. So be it.

But the way it sounds the 14 bff 9 inches of lift and 38 swampers and an est 400 horse motor, are voided by the paint job!!!! HUH?!?!

Sounds like a nice rig/plan. I too am going to go with shaved handles, no handles period, and a hidden switch. I am doing a phantom front end and replacing my quad. front lights with PIAA 85 watt lows and 100 watt highs. Right now I just got the alarm in and it got with all the goodies including roll up relays and outputs. I have been stock piling the LED side markers and the LED rear/tail lights already. I am going to fill in the rear lights and retrofit the LEDs in. To finish it all off I am going to hit it with PPG Vermillion red on top, to the trimline. Then POR-15s chasis black down to the bottom. And reattach the stainless lower panel guards. Then fab up my custom rock sliders out of the stainless at my dads. SHOW AND GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trail•er Queen 'trã-lðr 'kwën\ n 1: Transportation vehicle that looks like a heavy duty off-road machine, but it's really built for show only and would break a part (like axle or u-joint) in its first attempt on a good trail. 2: Vehicle whose owner tries to decieve the masses by adding a beautiful paint job, chrome engine, 38"-44" tires, but doesn't care about the 10 bolts axles, and it's got a sticker that says "got rocks?"

Shaved handles w/ solenoids, Been there done that. Wont do it again! Thats why Im using flush mount S10 handles. Wont jump out and grab a tree, Will be mounted low in the door to not have to reach up to open the door, and no worry of a dead battery in the blazer or the remote. ( or the solenoid just deciding to NOT work.) I also forgot the blazer emblems and the big funky sun are goin bye bye too.

I like it. If I bought it though, I wouldn't even attempt to drive it with that corn-ball sun visor, though.
