    Interesting site against us.

    David 75K5

This is why someone joins a group like the Sierra Club.... NOT to do
clean-ups or trail building work days...most people join a "green" group to
become politically involved. Why did you join a 4x4 club? To attend meetings
to learn how to defeat green groups?? You probably joined to learn more about
your vehicle and how to use it responsibly and really enjoy and protect our
public and private lands... You probably really enjoy nature and destroying
it is not your plan... You may even get annoyed when you see someone
littering... Most don't join 4x4 clubs to become legislatively active.
Well... go visit the attached web site... You'll see that the greens join
NOT to be with others who enjoy nature but to be political and do what ever
they can to keep only themseleves in the forest and no-one else... They
mention hunters on the site as people allied with them... They want to turn
hunters, fishermen, etc.. against us...saying we are only out to destroy
nature... When most hunters and fishermen drive to thier favorite place...
via old back roads, dirt trails etc... Just go to the site...you'll see what
I mean.... Thanx... Talk soon, Dave Brill

I get so pi@@ed when I see sh** like this. Here in Oregon these groups have been after our two areas for the last couple of years even though we go out on beach cleanup days, and wilderness cleanup days and generally take bags with us while 4wheeling and take out more garbage than we pack in. Our local forest service has a work plan that lets anyone who wants to donate time once a month to go out and repair trails to save waterways, who shows up for the volunteer days??? it's sure not the greenies!

I'm pretty PISSED right now guys and I understand where you're coming from.I read Mudfanatic's post's about the roadless policies etc.Spent the last 2hrs at the Bluewater Network website getting nuthin' but disgusted. As I read I took notes about my thoughts and my rebuttals.I'm thinking about sending an email once i settle down and try to get my wording figured out.I'm not the most articulate guy around and I'm prone to swearing so, I'm gonna post it first for some approval and editing.(Mostly editing and ideas)I just wish I had read Mud's posts sooner,I missed the cut-off date
for sending stuff to my congressman.
If I missed it I'm sorry but this REALLY should have been posted on the main board.
I'm gonna make a post right now to emphasize the importance of this part of the message board.
If you guys have any ideas let me know.
    Later (K5)Brothers.

I too have taken too much for granted, but will vow to help in the e-mail war against this BS. We need to help this along by rallying our board, as well as others you guys know about and get all of the guys sending e-mail to our congressmen AGAINST land closures. Great work, you guys, to keep this in our face.........MUDFANATIC, moving back to Oregon (after 3 years in the east) in 5 weeks, so I can relate to TSF closures. Can't go down without a fight.
