Ok I'm sure everyone else has been seeing all the snow pics and videos lately. So who wants to do a trip. I'm swayed towards Mammoth but I'm guessing that might be a little for for some people. So the only thing local would be Big Bear. I know the Azusa guys go up there every so often and it looks pretty fun. I was thinking of doing it say in mid April.

but if anybody is interested in Mammoth I know some great places that would be fun to try. If you're going up that way let me know and we can work out another trip

We are having our annual Snow Run in Kings Canyon the first Sat in March. I havent been to a meeting in a year but I am sure the Kingsburg 4-Wheel Drive Club is putting it on this year. I dont see anything about it on the CA4WDC website but a buddy was talking about it. I know its not very So. Cal. but I thought I would throw it at ya.

I just got back from writewood (snowboarding) and there is a decent amount of snow but I dont think too much wheeling snow but I would be fun. Last wekend some of us highdeserters were thinking of big bear/arrowhead trails.
1st weekend in march is probly bad since that is TDS.

I'm going up August 24-27, its an annual camp-out with the crew from work. I was going to explore the trails last year, but emergency cancelled my trip. One of the other guys has a Jeep (urgoofbbboopgarfwuv)..transl, Beuuiick:haha: , and I bet we could contact some of the local CK5 to see if they'd want to join.

I'm a member of the 4wheel drive club up there...so I know a few people that would go. Also I know quite a bit of the terrain up there.

How many of you are trailering your rigs? I would love to go on more of these trips but for now my blazer is a daily driver and has to be driven to the trails and I am a little worried about breakage.

I'm still using my DD to go wheeling. I drive the trails and if luck strikes me I get to drive it home.

Glad to see your not scared to drive such long distances, makes me think I should try it. Maybe after the Miller trail I will feel more confident in going even farther.

I don't know about confidence..I'm just used to it. I've spent my fair share of spending the night on the side of the highway or waiting for someone to bring me a trailer.

If you keep on top of your maintinence the long distances aren't a big deal

I'm in! The only condition (and I only put conditions so no one thinks I am a flake) is that I can fix whatever I break on the 18th at Miller.

camok5 - next weekend is going to be my maintenece prep for the trip if you want to synch up.
