I just picked up a 350 Chevy 4 bolt main block. It has all the machine work done already on it. My main worry is the tranny bolt patterns on it. It seems to have 7. The usual 6 in their pattern which we all know, but it also has one on the very top, in between the top two that are flush. According to Mortec.com, this block is a 69 4 bolt main block. Here is the casting # 3932386 Now will this block bolt up to my th350 tranny? This is my dillema....thanks in advance. Oh yah, I plan on installing it inside my 74 K5, which currently has a 74 350 in it. Thanks.....

I don't see a problem, go for it. but check the measurements between the bolt holes if you are worried.

The extra bolt hole was used in some HD applications. The other six are the same, and this block will work in your application. It was probably an LT1 motor.
