I have a 1994 S-10 Blazer with a 4.3 Vortec V-6 that I am putting new crank into it due to a spin. Question I have is in the difference of the crankshafts between the normal 6 and the Vortec. Price of kit for the standard 6 was $140 and the Vortec 6 was $198. What justifies the cost differerence, is it forged/cast issue? Is it internal/external balance issue? Journal dimensions? Oil passage size? Please help me as I am new to this engine and trying to justify the cost differences between the two ! Thanks Guys!
