    Ross-

I am in Gurnee! I am in the process of building my 79 jimmy, so i have not had it wheeling yet! But i do wheel often in my explorer. There is a place called the Badlands in IN. It's about 3 hours from here.

BUT if you don't want body damage DONOT go on the trails just stay in the quary. Their website is BADLANDSOFFROAD.com.

Shoot me an e-mail maybe we can meet up sometime!

79 Jimmy all stock right now.

If ya like sand dunes try Silver Lake, MI. Have never been there myself but hear its great fun. I'm goimg to try to get there this year. And Attica IN AKA the Badlands is great kinda tight for fullsize on the trails. And they also let in 4 wheelers and dirtbikes.

    Ross,
I live twards the Joliet are and i have found few places around to wheel where the law wont get involved! Your best bet might be to check out some local 4x4 clubs. I have gone out with Iron Horse, and they are a good bunch of guys, a good amount of full size rigs, and they wheel alot and hit all the local events. Here are some links

The Badlands are great. Good chance of some body damage, but can almost all be avoided if you are careful and cheat around some of the real nasty spots.

Silver Lake sand dunes in norhter lower MI is great also.
