chopping the top

    i am planning to chop the top of my 87 k5 is there any tips anyone could offer me do i need to reinforce the body

    I cut mine off. Cut the top before the back or it will shake around really bad.

    Any close ups of the cuts?
    How far back from the wind shield did you cut?

    i havent cut anything yet i am still debateing i just might put in two sun roofs

    My 73(87 tub) has the upper firewall/windsheild grafted on it. Then we filled the top of qtr panels. YES the body should be reinforced. The early full tops had extra supports in the rockers to keep the flex down. I have a 10pt cage in mine.
