Well, while at Wal-Mart getting my Tellico pictures developed, I got a Christmas gift for somebody:

A military-grade jerry-type gascan. My eyes popped out of my head when I saw these on the shelf there! Then a thought came to my mind, 'This will be perfect for somebody I know who currently only has one of those generic plastic cans and has problems pouring from the thing.' So I went ahead and shelled out the 35 bucks they wanted for it.

Take a look at the hardware on this thing:

This can definitely won't be leaking any fumes.

Here's a shot with the nozzle attached and ready to pour.

What do you guys think of this?

Looks good to me, I'd run one. I need to get a 5g can to supplement my 20g cell... might have to try wallyworld I guess... though I have never seen any metal gas cans there.

Looks good. I've never seen metal cans at wal-mart either, but I will definately look next time I am forced to go there.

I asked around about how long they had had them in stock, and was told they'd had those in for about a month, so I'm wondering how many they've sold. If they haven't sold that many, I may have just bought one of the last ones before they get rid of them and not put 'em on the shelves again.

That's one of the reasons too why I got it. This was probably a one-time shot and I'd probably never see them the next time I had to go there.

What department were they in? And by any chance do you know the item number?

They were in the automotive department on the bottom two shelves where they keep all their gascans. I only saw nine of them on the bottom shelves, so I grabbed one. As for the item number, sorry, I didn't think to check.

Actually, I couldn't find anywhere on it something saying where it was made, strangely.
