I need to remove the chromed metal trim around the headlights. Not the plastic cover, but the metal that surrounds the headlights and grill. How does this come off? I've got some surface rust that I want to clean up behind it.

No, I'm talking about the chromed metal trim that surrounds the outside of the grill and headlights. Out at the ends, where it touches the front quarters, is where the rust is, and I can see it extends under this trim, I just can't see how to get the trim off.

Take out the grille and headlight bezels. Once those are out, there are a handful of screw holding in the "grille outline moldings".......easy to do.....

Thats not true. If you take out the headlight bezel there are 2 nuts on the side. One on top and one on the bottom where the chrome attaches to the middle chrome on top and bottom. Sio there is a total of 4. I know because i just replaced this part. By the way it takes a 7/16 to remove them

    Good Luck
