i had what was called a "counterfeit cuban" once..it was good, i dont smoke anymore but real cubans are supposed to be kickass and if you go to a good cigar shop, they will have a walk in humidor where you can smell cigars, find something that smells mild and smooth..

    10 H.R.H. Prince Philip Maduro Macanudo's <--- /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Or you can get the Macanudo Mini's, they are about cig size but still a good smoke. I think there is a Macanudo Republico, its a tapered cigar, made from a blend of finer cigars leftovers... VERY good also.

I was told by a friend that 1 out of 3 Cohiba cigars are actually Cuban. They are imported from the Dominican Republic, but I was told that the manufaturor of Cohiba'a can't keep up with demand so they import cigars from Cuba and relabel them Cohiba. This is what I was told by a friend that is pretty up on stuff like that, but I don't know for sure. I don't smoke so I can't recommend anything.

    COHIBAS~!

I just smoked one earlier kinda got a buzz off of it...

I really like pipe tobaco though, like black and milds. Or apple flavored tobaco that you'd smoke out of a giant water bong from tunisia...(that's where my friend is from and has two of these, how do you say, hookahs?)

This brings up a very good point for me. I've been wanting to partake in the cigar thing, but most of em kill me. Could someone recommend a very mild "beginner" cigar with good flavor? Thanks.

They aren't crappy. They also have Gold & Mild which aren't as good, and they have Black & Mild-Mild which I've never had.

black and milds aren't bad, except- the taste stays in your mouth for a long time. worse that most. you cannot eat chocolate or much sweet within an hour or so. i can still smaste (that back of the throat combination of a smell and a taste that you can't make out which it is) the one i smoked about 4:30.
