I used detailer's clay on an exhaust tip last night and it practically made it look new. If you've ever had to get a lot of rust off chrome, you know what a pain it can be. And if you've ever actually gotten the paint clean on a vehicle, then you know what a clay bar is. I did two tips, one with metal polish only and the other with clay bar and then metal polish. The clay totally pulls all of the rust off, leaving just smooth chrome. Then the polish shines it all up purty. The polish only tip still has hard spots of rust sticking up and is rough, even though most of the metal is nice and shiny.
