Ok, im now expereincing a ratcheting sound when I drive over bumps and whatnot. I have a borrego (echobit) flip in the back with zero rates. I tighted all my ubolts last night... but this morning it was making the noise. but then i was at the beach and messed around a lil ( a few donuts) and pulled somone out backwards in 2wd. Would this have an adverse affects on how my suspension is setup? I tried using my hands and bouncing my truck up and down on each of the 4 corners but it doenst make this noise... im clueless to what it could be.. i just went and wd40'd everything maybe that mioght help?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Does the sound slow down and speed up as you do?

i haven't had my blazer long enough to know if there are cv joints on the front axles. But if there are, those are typical sounds the CV would make.

Could this noise be coming from the front of the truck? If it is do you have the Auto-locking hubs? They are a prime suspect for that kind of noise.

no i have manual hubs. i think its coming from the back. It only makes that sound during bumps and holes that i hit going on the highway or like ridges on the hihgway.

Its not my suspension cause i got on my tailgate and jumped up and down and the suspension flexes, etc and no sound. Im guessing its something in my axle. No matter, im getting my 14bff in , in a week! hah! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
