We have joined http://www.treadlightly.org/index.html and we would like to join http://www.cal4wheel.com/ & http://www.clorv.org/ & http://www.sharetrails.org/ and others as we find them. I am checking into the adopt a trail right now. After going threw 2 different Government agencies I finally found the right people to talk to. I am supposed to talk to him tomorrow. 5/9… The trail I am trying to adopt is in the Stanislaus National Forest... It is right out of Long Barn. By Sonora. The reason I picked this trail is because my dad and his Uncle Tiny Thompson made this trail back in the late 50's (back when you could make trails) In the early 50's the loggers came in and logged this area. They tore up the roads when they left. My dad and Tiny went in to hunt this area and rebuild the road. It goes down to a meadow And right next to the meadow is the Clavy River. It is a beautiful area. I have seen this area change in my 39 years and it could use our help. I hope that trying to adopt this trail is OK with everybody. I have a personnel interest in this trail. What we need is for everybody to send in there donations to Nosmog73. So we can join these other clubs. Most of these clubs are $100.00 to join. If everybody pitched in there $10.00 we could join most of these…Let me know what you guys Think…Thanks..Dan
