:angry1: :angry1: :usaflag: they asked -did the local, state, and federal goverments do a good job getting people out of TEXAS. and of corse the liberal audience voted 91% no. :angry1: :angry1: lets see, if the national guard wooda showed up with guns and said leave now. then BIG BROTHER would have forced them from there homes. BUT, if they don't make it out then the government screwed them.it was your right as an AMERICAN to leave or stay. don't blame other people cuz of your dumb ass plans.sorry for the rant.

I think what the should have done was to build another six lane highway in two days to help accomodate the extra traffic.

There are just way to many idiots round this here country.

They were told very well "leave ya big dummies". Told label yourself with a permant marker to make yourself easier to identify if you stay. Supplied gas and busses and alot more. Shelters everywhere. What else can you do?

Well I look at it this way. Houston is the 4th largest city in the nation add all the other towns in the area and that is a boat load of people to move. Now compare the Texas evacuation to the Louisiana evacuation a few weeks ago. From the comparison I would have to say that Texas has done a pretty good job, not to mention there are a lot of New Orleans residents in Houston to move as well. I also think that the big diffrence is Houston is not a welfare city like New Orleans so the people are a little more motivated.

I agree. We live in the best country on the planet but many folks just can't seem to understand that when Mother Nature decides to do what she wishes we have to pay for our arrogance.
