I've had a goal for quite a few years now to run Holy Cross, and I feel the time to try it has arrived.

I'm planning on a Monday, Aug 15, because the trail is up and down the same route and some Jeep guys got all uppity about fullsizes on that trail. So I was thinking a Monday would be a nice quiet day for some real trail rigs to have that trail to ourselves.

Camping maybe Sunday night. I think there's a spot to camp near the trail head. I know there are tons of places in the surrounding area anyways.

I'm trying to give plenty of notices since I'm talking about a Monday. So who's in?

I just got the K5 about 2 months ago. Up to that point it was two years with a bunch of parts & no place to put them.

So, when you coming to get the cab? Maybe you guys would like to stop by for a beer & help me install a D60 & 14B :D After all, kegerator is all ready to go :doah:

I think parts of that trail may be iffy for my truck but I'd be willing to give it an old lady try.

HOPEFULLY, the Blazer will be done this weekend. I'm supposed to be helping my guy throw the motor in tonite, and Bo offered to help if we need it, so I should be ready to go... Either way, if the Blazer ain't ready, I'd be up for camping and spotting...

Awesome, it looks like this Monday deal might work out well for everyone.

John, I hope you are finally able to get that K5 of yours going again.

Jiminy, maybe this time around you could ride with John. I don't know if you'd want to try your truck on that trail, but I would definitely like for you to come along. Especially if I get stuck in a mud hole again. :haha:

PM me when you know when it looks like you'll be in this area. Also, take the Contact Sheet & call my cell phone when you are down this way or if you need any help. I'm supposed to have a bliind date on Sun for coffee, so we'll see how that turns out.

Holy cross is a fun trail not very hard. The hardest part is french creek but still not hard.

Bo, if you get you butt in gear, you could be ready for this run. Just like we talked about. Shouldn't take more than a good weekend to get it finished.

Getting in late again, that's me. Are we confirmed for August 15th? Burblover was telling me about this trip but he seemed to think it was the 21st. I need to know for sure so I can request the days off from work. Looking forward to seeing you all again! Rich

    Camping

So far Burblover, firefighter184, fwdjunky, and myself will be camping. Probably Saturday and definitely Sunday nights. B_to_C will be joining us for camping Sunday night also.

I'll start checking for places to stay. I think there may be camping near the trailhead. I know we could camp at Camp Hale.

Kelly and I will be there either Sat. or Sun. morning. I work Sat. until 3:00 and plan on heading out there as soon as I am off.
