I was talking to the wife about camping this summer. One trip idea we'd like to pursue is Carnage BV. We were thinking Aug 4/5 or 10/11. I know several of us would like to try this trail, and it's difficult enough I thought some advance warning/planning would be good for most of us. I know for some of the pros and old-hands like moneypit, this trail is merely a minor inconvenience though.

I doubt the General will make this trail this year because unless some miracle occurs, I won't have front and rear lockers. However I am planning to ride with B_to_C even though he doesn't know he's running this trail yet. :haha:

We'd like to camp nearby. Nicole would stay at the camp with our boys during the actual trail run, so she'd appreciate any company there she could get.

Let me know what you guys think.

I know my blazer wont run it but I would like to ride with someone if there is any extra seat. Camping is always a plus for me!

Camping spots are right around the corner from the entrance. It is hot dry and dusty out there so the day time kind of sucks unless you are in the canyon on the trail.
Open seats are not a big concern since the trail is about 3/4 mile long it is easily walked.

I might be down for it. As things get closer I will know more.

Yeah, but you know we've gotta have bathrooms! Well not me, the rest of the family. :rotfl: IIRC there's a state park camping area nearby.

I figure I'll be walking and shooting video.

It would be good if you can make it Brandon, someone needs to knock Toby down a notch or two. :haha:

Sounds good to me, Erin and I will try to make plans for this.

Yeah, hopefully. I have the majority of the cage/chassis done as of today so the 4 link will be the next thing to tackle.

Ain't gonna happen as long as I pick the lines. Unless of coarse we need to stack rocks for miniwally...one day it will get a real driver in it full time (JACK)...:D I also be down for this. Lets try not to make it a week before BB 07. The fuel expense that month is already gonna suck. Maybe "Throttle Fox" will show up from the dead and sling more parts and rice crispy treats toooooo....:p:

Toby or Brandon if you got a seat I'll bring the breath rights and Jack.

I was leaning more towards that first weekend, Aug 4/5 anyways. That's plenty of time before Blazer Bash.

I was pretty sure you'd be down for a little BV Carnage action.

Well since I am only 35 miles from there I will be there. I have a big old slow winch for the exit too.

Jack don't need no winch for the exit. He got mad skills.:D

Problem is I can't keep the damn thing together when he drives it.

I've been up to the staging area a couple of times to run OCG. Do you guys think there will be an issue with enough room for several of us to camp there plus any other groups that may plan to camp there?
