Well, my pretty truck isn't so pretty any more.

We just got hit by a fast moving unexpected hail storm. 1 to 3" diameter hail for over 20 minutes straight. Looks like a giant lawnmower went through this area.

As soon as I heard it start I thought someone threw a rock at the front window but then it just came all at once. I am in the **** though - grabbed my wife's 2 favorite thick comforters and ran out to throw across my truck. Not fast enough though, I have got hail dents scattered over the hood. So much for a couple grand in paint and body work. My neighbor across the way with the Landcruiser shot video, he said he was amazed I didn't get brained. Had a good laugh though. All in all I'm glad all our pets are ok but pissed at the hail damage. F@#$ing Colorado weather.

Here are a few pics during the joyous occasion. By the way these were coming down at high velocity and the damage is widespread. All our neighbors retained some type of damage to their vehicles. Also last pic is a chopper surveying the area & damage.

    Well Doc.

She hasn't come home yet. You may never see me again after tonight, at least not with a low pitched voice.

Yeah, my 97 got pounded once. Hood, roof.. sides even. Not as much on the sides, but some. It sucked. I ended up having teh paintless dent removal done, and all was well. Not sure the old sheetmetal is a candidate or not.. but if it is.. that's the way to go.

    Heh-he you guys............

I am going to have to get used to body damage if I keep hanging out with you two. :D

I think I did pretty well, I've got an average of 6 to 8 dents per hood section. Could have been a lot worse without the comforters. I'll be taking them to the cleaners tomorrow.

As far as upgrades I've got a list. Already ordered the ORD frame brace and weld in kit. I'll focus on the 6" BDS lift next.

Sorry to hear about that. Hail storms in Denver really suck.

Well, in any case CWN_AWYN is probably getting some nasty hail right now. Radio was blaring storm warnings for his area.

And I think Firefighter did a great job with my sheetmetal!

...oh-wait... that was your point, eh?

    :D:D:D
