Okay so let's plan on doing the night run on Saturday August 12.

    We'll run Middle St.Vrain & Coney Flats

Plenty of camping in the area:

    Closest:
    Camp Dick

    In the area:
    Kelly-Dahl

    Meeker Park

    Olive Ridge

    Rainbow Lakes

We're going to try and get a reservation for Camp Dick. I'll keep you posted on where we end up.

I'll say we could meet at our campsite to BBQ. I think we should meet between 5-6 PM. We'll have the cooking supplies, if everyone will bring they're own food, hamburgers, brats, hotdogs, chips, beverages, and whatever else you want to eat.

Unless people want to start volunteering to bring food for all.

    This should be fun!:D

I won't make this night crawl, as the " blue thing" is still ill. We will also be in BV that weekend doing a few things in our old home in preperation to moving into our new home.

Trying to figure out my schedule to see if this is doable or not, stay tuned. Is there even going to be any open spots at these campgrounds since it's only a week away?

We're not worried about getting a site. There are so many campgrounds in that area.

If the campgrounds are full, there may still be camping outside of the organized campgrounds. If I know that another site is needed, we could try to hold one for others. The only problem would be trying to guarantee we can get an extra site.

    I'm planning on being there.

Camping at Camp Dick could be interesting as it does tend to fill up, as does it's neighbor Peaceful Valley CG. Scott, that's another one for your list and it and Camp Dick are between HWY 72 and the Middle St. Vrain road trail head. You literally have to drive through both campgrounds to get there so they would be perfect.

    Thanks for the info, Jason.

We ordered a map from the Forest Service. We couldn't get an accurate idea of where all the campgrounds were. So that should help.

Right now I'm thinking that we'll get our spot and then I'll call somebody so that they can post up on where we are.

If anyone is just planning to tent camp, you should be able to throw your tent in our site for the night. I don't think they would be upset about a couple of tents.

We're not going to reserve a site, but we will have a spot to put a tent. John's going to do the same, too.

Once we have a spot, I'll call Dad and have him post up Friday where we are so you guys can find us.

I figured we could do a BBQ at our campsite. We'll provide the cookware and eating utinsils if you all want to bring some food.

I'll just make sure to have someone post up as to where we are Friday.

I would say get to the campground by 6PM.
