This is the event mrk5 recruited us for. Marines collecting toys for kids and 4x4 clubs stepping up to help. Basically we all caravan to the site, are led in to the drop by Santa and then park. Afterwards there is a modified Jeep raffle (yeah I know) and other misc door prize raffles. It was cold out there but worth the time & effort. I'll be there again next year with a goal of filling my pick-up with toys. There were just a few of us Chevy guys so you'll have to endure the horror of Jeep pictures. :D Besides myself and mrk5 we saw moneypit. Here's the pics.

Down at the Jeffco event center in SW Denver. It's pretty close to Golden - East of I-25 on 6th avenue.

Look at me, surrounded by all those Jeeps. I can't believe that moneypit, jiminycricket, and I were the only local CK5 guys to show up.

It was a really cool deal. The door prizes included a Ramsey 12000lbs winch, winch rope, ARB coupon, custom fab rear bumper, and a bunch of other misc. parts.

I know last year they had around 300 rigs show up. I bet there was that many or more this year. I know that 2 hours after we handed over our donations, there was still a long line of trucks going through.

They filled that big truck plus started on another.

Man, I was hoping enough people brought 'heavy' presents that you'd start hearing the deuce-and-a-half's frame creaking and groaning from the strain and the tires bulging from being overloaded to the extreme.

Marine Truck.... the truck is an Oshkosh 7 ton 6 wheel drive. rides on 52 inch michilens and is powered by one of the most advanced diesels for its time (about 3 years ago) it has an on board diagnostics and tunign computer tuning transmission shift points, brake bias, drive wheel bias, tire pressure, boost, and various other things. the marines are only allowed to a SMALL portion of the tuning features... but it makes it so that when you are on a mission that you may need to get out of dodge now you can program it before hand raise the speed govoner and fuel pressure with the boost and the thing will MOVE...

i only wish i worked on them....

the gun is a 7.62 variety. its a M240. looks like a Golf version might be a Delta though. cant tell what trigger setup is on it. full auto, dont remember so many specs about it but i do know they are fun to shoot and have put about 3k rounds through a few.

    back on topic...
    sorry
