    ***********UPDATE**************
Okay Bangs Canyon it is. I'd like to meet at the City Market @ 569 32 Road. 9:00AM Saturday July 1st.

If you would rather meet at the trailhead, I'd think we'll be there by 10AM at the latest. Taking into account bullchitting and late arrivals at City Market.

The trail is open, so there shouldn't be any problem with that. If it is we'll leave the Bangs Canyon area by 10:30AM and head for a different trail.

    **********UPDATE****************

Okay I'm going to do this one a little differently. Lets have a vote for the trail we'll run Saturday, July 1st.

Here's some info on the choices:

    Battlement Mesa:
    CO4x4 thread
    CO4x4 thread
    4x4Trails.net

    Bangs Canyon:
    traildamage.com
Couldn't find any reports on CO4x4 about this one.

    Coal Canyon:
    traildamage.com
Couldn't find any reports on CO4x4 about this one either.

    21Road:
    4x4Trails.net
There are tons of reports on this one. I think most of us have some idea about this trail, though.

I'll post up the meeting info once we have a decision.

Pretty much every trail I post about over on CO4x4 they tell me is not "fullsize friendly." I think it's because too many - disclaimer: NOT ALL - jeeples have the "only in a Jeep" mentality.

Hope you can make it. Long time no see, you know.

Id like to do 21 road or bangs canyon maby even both. This weekend while Im in mack for country jam I may go check these trails out just to see what they look like.

Oats, if its not too far I wouldnt have a problem dropping my trailer at the trail head and going back to get yours if we do one of these trails.

I guess my vote would be for Bangs Canyon. The only thing I know about 21 Road is from stories.

Check it out, Bangs Canyon and Billings Canyon are pretty much right next to each other.

If you wanted to run 2 trails, that would probably be the trick.

Bangs Canyon looks like it's good for near stock and built rigs. Lots of trail to explore.

My brother and I have gotten through Bangs in Fullsized before its not that bad. But last I knew Bangs was closed to us Off Roading types. Not closed for the season but closed for good to us. May have to check that out. We are still traveling though so we would miss that trip too. We are in our Oklahoma legg of this trip. Next its on to Texas which will take us through the first of the month. I would love to go though I have not done 21 rd in a long time and as for Canyon and Battlement its the same its been years since the last time I played there. I hope we will be back by the second or third but that is the best we can do, so if we miss it I am sorry and do look forward to C-ing ya'll sometime soon even if its just a BBQ at my house!
    God Bless

From what I have heard Billings and 21 Road are no joke trails. 21 Road I heard can be done part of the way but the farther you go the harder it gets and there are some obsticles that we probably couldn't do. Billings has a gate keeper obsticle so that will let you know right off if you can make it or not. If you can't make the gatekeeper without a winch then you should turn around and find a trail a little less difficult.

I won't be able to make this run. The Western Slope is just to far away for my budget right now. I hope you guys have a good time.

Not looking too good for me, since #1, I'll be in Michigan, and #2, the axles still aren't in. Gotta find the right srping to finish my brake job on the 14, and then I still gotta make time and get help welding the perches (I have a welder whose ready to go, just gotta get it ready) and throwing the axles underneath it. I think I busted something under the front, so I'm not trail ready yet. I'll be there in spirit though. I'm itching for another run.
