I need to know who is in for camping @ Slick Rock Campground. I think we can all fit into my big tent and my camper, so if we rserve a 40 foot RV spot there, we can camp together. We need to make reservations pretty soon, so I'm thinking if we all get it figured out by the night run, we can reserve by then. Post up people.

Would there be room to put my tent up as well because, we won't get my wife to stay in a room full of guys thats for sure and we will have the little one and the Dog. Other than that I would be in for sure.

I think so? My camper is about 18 feet open, plus the big tent is about 8x14. If we put the big tent sideways, that would leave JUST enough room? Pretty big maybe. Perhaps we should look at getting two 40 foot sites.

Two is probably a good idea if there is general interest in doing this. There were 3 of us in a tent in an RV site this past Easter and it get's full once you have the tent set up with the fire ring and the picnic table. These can be moved, I think, but it's still tight. The other thing to consider is the vehicles, especially if the campground is close to full. There won't be as many of us there as there was at EJS but, as you can see from the picture, it can fill up. The term zoo comes to mind. The picture was on Friday morning - and our trucks are bigger than the jeeps. The RV sites are to the right.

No it's on the north side as the town runs north to south.
I'll be staying at motel 6 with a comfy bed and lots of ice for the AM.
    I know (pussy :D ). I can't help it.

Yes that is what I meant. Only when the road curves that is west to me:haha: :haha: eventhough You are right and I stand corrected! thank you. Yes North end right off hwy 128 right? Rather when you get off of 128 you turn right cross the river and BAM there it is on the left pretty as can be.:doah: :D

Um, sorry but I can't figure out where you think it is.
(after you cross the Colorado river)
As you come into town from the north it's on your right side before Motel 6, Super 8 & Denny's.
If you get to where the speed limit drops to 35/25 you've gone too far.
    I hope this helps.
or better yet, try this http://www.moab-utah.com/slickrock/campground.html

  Thank you again for guiding me. 128 runs parallel to the river also north and south. So that would be south on 128 and left on hwy91 towards eddy mcstiffs only not so far and right at the camp ground. Got it thanx either way I am there and ready to pitch the tent.:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: Man you'd think I was a Blonde or something! No offense to all those beautiful blondes out there oh and the good looking men too... So says my wife.

Yes, they do. They have bathrooms/bathhouses that are not associated with the cabins.

Due to my docotor's visit after my Sunday idiocy, and the fact that four teeth are coming out next week, I'll be short any funds to make a reservation until probably mid August. We need to figure out who's doing SlickRock campground and how many total spots we'll need and how to arrange funding. Post up fellas!

I'm trying to decide wether to rent a cabin at slickrock or not. Jason, when you say showers not associated with cabins you mean not in the cabin right. Everyone camping there can use the facility correct?

That's right, they are not in the cabins and are available for all Slickrock campers. Here's the map so you can see the layout.

    http://www.slickrockcampground.com/maps.html

The cabins have heat, A/C, power and lights but no water.

How much will it cost as I am too Lazy to click over and look at the Page I have saved in my favorites at the moment to look for myself.? I just need a tent site but I think the idea of the rv site plus is a better Idea, cause I look forward to getting to know some of you folks!
So let me know what the next step is. We are in.
