Nicole and I are thinking about buying a 2wd suburban. We're looking for cheap. Possibley something with blown motor or rearend.

    We're after an 88-91 with TBI 350.

    1/2 or 3/4-ton.

We plan to rebuild the motor and I have a 14bff I'll swap in to make a good tow rig/family hauler.

I would like it to have decent interior and also a functional AC system. 3rd row seating would be a plus, but not necessary.

We don't want to spend more that $1,000.

Let me know if you see something.

If you want a good tow rig, then hold out for a '91 3/4-ton. It will have the beefy parts and a 4L80E underneath. :cool1: Before then you get the Turbo 400. Great trans but no overdrive. With gas going to $3+ per gallon, overdrive is gonna look better every day. ;)

Yeah, I was hoping for overdrive. I'll keep an eye out for 91s then.

    Thanks, Bo. :thumb:
