I'm going to be over in the Junction neck of the woods for the July 4th weekend now that all my kin folk have moved to that area.

I would like to have a little get together/trail run on Saturday, July 1st.

Who wants to come and what trail should we run around Montrose or Junction?

I'll probably ride with fred2mihi or B_to_C if I he can make it over.

Billings would definitely have to be a trail for B_to_C. I'm not sure if Dad's K5 could make it. It's locked front & rear, but still 1/2ton axles. I'd be worried about something breaking.

How far from Junction is that water fall trail you were talking about when we ran Carnage?

Its just North of Gypsum which would be about an hour and a half away from junction.I would also be willing to do 21 road if that is what you were planing on.

There is also a trail that starts out of Battlement mesa.I cant remember the name of it but it is pretty easy. A few of us ran it a couple years ago and it was mostly senic with one rock garden that is about 100 yards long.

You are right about it being hot. I think the only way to get away from the heat is going to be elevation.

I got your elevation:D Why don't we just have a cook-out at my place, and then go run aqround in the sage. Anyone wanna build a monster truck? I know where there is an old sky trak type rig for sale cheap. Those axles would give you some serious ground clearance, but the trails would have to be widened.:doah:

I'm sure you could stay with Mom & Dad or I know you could camp in my sisters lawn. That's aweful far for you to drive round-trip in one day. It'd be OCG x2

Yeah, yeah I'm not holding my breath! Hey there web footed Driveway Q! Just so you know it was only 96 today and not much wind. IMHO we should plan for a very early start, you know right around dawn it may only be 70 or 75 then. :):)
