Anybody down there in Denver know if the Pick-a-Part out on Peoria pokes holes in their fuel tanks or not? I'm going to need a TBI tank.

What do you need a TBI tank for? You converting to FI? If so you do not "need" a TBI tank. I don't have a FI tank in my truck with TPI. It is nice to have a FI tank but not required.

There is a problem with the stock 77 saddle tank. The return line necks down to 1/8 on the stock sending unit and the tank vent is not adequate. Scott and I experienced tank boil on the last GJ trip. Not only that but I need to dump the saddle in order to mount sliders.

The TBI tank has better venting, larger sending unit return, and a baffle to keep fuel around the pick-up. I can mount it just behind the axle under the bed.

You might have to keep an eye out for someone local parting out a TBI K5. Or somebody going truggy with a fuel cell. Did you post in the wanted area?

They do poke holes in the fuel tank. I don't know if colorado auto or advantage does though. You can grab the TBI sending unit and gain all of the benefits minus the baffle though. I did that for a friend and he just replaced the pump and sock and hasn't had a problem since. I run a custom cell as wide as my bed under the toolbox and I have minor baffling and have yet to have problems.
P.S. Are you gonna make it to help Firefighter with the axles?

Cool, I usually run by most of the local yards on a regular basis so we can discuss any parts you are on the lookout for on Sat.

    Sounds good.

Any TBI tank with baffle, sending unit, and at least 30 gallon capacity. The Blazer tank looks like it would tuck right in. The 33 gallon van tanks will work also. The 40 gallon burb tank is too big from what I can see.

I ran a 40 gallon burb tank in my long bed for 2 years with no problems, but with a 6 inch lift. So I'm guessing the 31 gallon tank over the 25 gallon unit

If you have time and don't mind looking I can always use a good vendor.
