    Re: Colorado K5\'ers

That sucks, But we changed the location to Wildcat reserve/Custer cabin trail (by woodland park)
The reason being some people in my group have stock rangers and jeeps, but the trail's are still a challenge.
But if you wanna go Let me know!!!!!!!

    Re: Colorado K5\'ers

I would probly rate this trail as a 4 or 5 out of 10, I made it when my blazer was stock with 31's, ther's a few steep parts but a stock rig should be able to make it just fine.

    Re: Colorado K5\'ers

The location we enter at is by Deckers, and we will exit just north of woodland park, The trail is quite a long one
so you will need to have a full tank of gas when we hit the dirt road, also we plan on having lunch down at custer cabin. So plan for that if you go.

    Re: Colorado K5\'ers

Ok Heres the skinny on the whole thing. Whoever wants to go
should meet us at Deckers between 9 and 10 am on Saturday the 27th (In the store parking lot) Make sure you have a full tank of gas. We will head up the Wildcat reserve trail
which entails a river crossing (my buddy made it in his stock ranger) and then a kinda nasty hill ( I didn't make it last year because of a 4 foot snow bank so Im not sure how the little strech is between there and the main dirt road) and then hit the custer cabin trail down to the custer cabin. There we plan on having lunch, some of us will stay and camp, but I will lead anyone who dosent want to stay out. Also if you have a CB we will be on channel 11.
But all in all the trail isn't all that hairy, but the part I havent ben on yet could be, so be prepared(at least with a chain or rope).
So I hope to see everyone out there at Deckers!!!!!!
If you have any questions or need directions give me a call.

    Later..

    TJ......

Thats what it sounds like to me also. There is a cabin at the bottom of Metberry or Longwater with the river right there. There is also a pretty big open field for camping. I don't know i might make just for the hec of it.
