Okay, I'm doig the body work on my truck and getting ready to paint it. I want some suggestions on colors. My friends Dad doesn't seem to think black will look well since I won't have flawless body work. So I was thinking yellow! =) Anyone have any pics of a yellow blazer? I wanna see what it looks like..

    Thanks,
    JoSH

Army OD Green. It'll hide even the worst of scratches. [IMG]

Seriously though, I think a light tan really hides dings and dirt, as does white. I'm not big on show though. I haven't washed mine since I got the body work done over a year and a half ago.

I'm a yellow fanatic but I'd agree black shows alot of imperfections, yellow is nice but it didn't lite my fire on a blazer like it does other cars. I think I'm going to go white: simple, looks good, easy to blend, hides scratches decent..... I also like all of the grays that are on the 80's like gray and (red, white, dark red,) but it's only my opinion.... There was a sharp yellow one check the pics section it was a 70's looked like it was on the beach not lifted with 31's or 33's BFG AT's that one looked sharp. Like something from baywatch but without the half naked life guards........mmmmmmmmmm Pamela Lee.. mmmmmmmm

    Wasn't me.............

i really like yellow cars, seen a handful of yellow blazers, liked them, too. very eye-catching. that's good and bad, 'cause for every three girls that look, figure one cop.
when i was younger, i had a fascination with gun-metal gray. with metallic flakes. damn near everything i drove i painted gun-metal grey. with metallic flakes. looks good at night, looks good in the day.
any kind of sweet paint job stands a chance of being the canvas for a tree's fingerpainting, so ya gotta decide how much to spend on the paint and labor.
although they do have some nice krylon choices now.......

oooh nice! That's a sweet color, my reasoning for choosing the black was that someone who deals in paint said that they said a surplus of gloss black and that I could get a great deal from him.

I like the dark blue on my Blazer. I was thinking of painting the whole Truck that color eventually. The only reason I havent is $$$, I hope you have got alot of estimates. Check out my Blazer if you want on the photo Gallery, take your time on picking the color, you want to be stoked not bumbed on it later, John

My Mule was yellow when I got it. I personally didn't like the color too much, so it will be light grey (hopefully by the end of this week). My favorite color would have been midnight blue metallic but yes, the not-so-perfect body is an inhibiting factor for a dark color (like the guys at the paintshop told me: if you really want to have it painted in a dark color - go and find another paintshop!).

P.S. If you live in washington thats state not DC and have a blazer like that maybe I saw yours.

Not likely: I live some 15000 miles away from Washington state (Austria, Europe that is). Moreover, my blazer is in the garage since beginning of february ... But The Mule should be back on the road in another two weeks - I hope.

I understand completely about the dark colors and bodywork [but I like dark colors so what can you do.] Does anybody do two-tones anymore?

I know just enough to know that I'll never know enough.

Hey CrazeeBush definatly dont go with a glossy black if you go with black go with flat black, the glossy would realy show the dings.. I went with a sealed primer grey so I could take a while to figure what color I want. I think I like the sealed primer grey though it hides everything.
