I am converting a 74 GMC Jimmy (rust bucket) in to a mudding and rock climbing monster. The last owner used it as a donor so most wires are clipped. I just rebuilt the motor and put hei distributor on it and need to know how to connect the alternator. There is a plug with two wires going in to the back top of the alt where do they go ? my guess was to the volt meter and a isolator but where did GM hide the isolator. Any insight of help would be greatly appreciated.
O yea the current dash that is in it is going to be removed so fewer wires the better. Thanks/
