OK, I have a dumb Question. If your timing is off will it affect
your compression. Mine is low (about 120lbs in cyl 1&3 )I did not check the others and I know my timing is off but I don't see how it could change it that much If at all. Any input

I also thought I would add that the oil pressure is jumping, the lifters are tapping, and every once and a while I get a healthy
backfire through the carb
HEY Fords!!! how many flushes does it
take to get rid of you
Edited by Redfrog on 06/24/01 01:11 AM (server time).

no it will not affect the compression if your distributor timing is off. Now if the cam timing was off, then you'd have trouble.
