Sometimes when I start my computer it kicks on and just shows a blank screen nothin more. If I hold the button in till it shuts off and then turn it back on it runs just fine. Its done it twice now. Last time I remember anything like this, I was gettin just a blank screen was all, no matter if i tryed the other thing or not, that time my harddrive had died. I generally shut my computer down every night, would it help to just let it run and be on the stand by mode?

Technically, at the hardware level, not a problem. For those that have no issues "i.e. RJ ...etc", w/ leaving it on all the time-that's cool, but at the software level, as far as windows is concerned, a full power cycle is considered routine maintenance at least once a week.
