Convert column shift to floor shifter?

    Did K5s ever have a factory installed floor shifter for the automatic? Anyone have pics?

    To my knowledge, no, they never had factory auto floor shifters.

    No they never came from the factory with a floor shifter, but do a search since this conversion has been talked about many times...

    You can easily put a B&M megashifter in. Here is a picture of mine.

    For the PITA that this is. check out a company called LOKAR. They make some nice shifters that have some great features. I have an art carr in mine and I'll never go back. Columns bind up and linkage fails. The art carr (now california transmission i believe) runs a marine grade cable. Its a racing gate shifter but I love it. I can pour sand and beer and soda all over it and other than being sticky on the handle it will shift like new.
    thats my two cents. The art carr and the lokar are around 200 bones.
