Yes, I have done this, It's a nightmare. Obviously you have to change the hubs out, when I did this I found that the spindle was a different length, so change that too. The real nightmare comes when you try to find parts. No one wants to sell only pieces of a 60 and some parts are dealer only, ie: hubs and rotors. Good luck, I'd never do it again, I found a 60 missing some parts for $500 and psssed on it for that reason. Iceman

By the way, since you have been implicated in the destruction last week end, you might want to checkout the thread titled "tread lightly please, before all trails are closed"

I put a HD Dana 60 rated at 4,500 lbs. on my 1981 Chevy Silverado Shortbed. It is off a mid 70s Dodge dually. It is Badass! It has huge calipers, rotors, tie rod and 5/8" studs. There are pics and info on it at my webpage at http://www.bigerik.coloradoK5.com. Although parts had to be bought from Dodge wreckers and Dodge dealers (the locking hubs were $460), I didn't have to move the spring perches! I think it had 35 splines at the side gear and 32 splines at the hub. It cost just under $4,000 ready to bolt on. Ouch!
